Overview
Vijay Venkatesh has been associated with the services businesses over the last 25 years across financial services and business process management. He is currently a partner at Ingroup Consulting, a management consulting company, with an array of niche offerings targeted at services businesses.
Vijay has been with Ingroup since early 2019 leading engagements on M&A transactions, post acquisition value creation, operational capability build and digital transformation. Vijay has successfully delivered assignments for 3 of the world’s largest PE firms on their cross-border deals. He has been engaged as far afield as Brazil, Australia and North America while also working with large domestic clients in India. He has been engaged with the fastest growing US based BPM firm for the last 2 years that recently had a hugely successful public offering, helping them through their IT optimization, digital transformation journey, operational capability build and acquisitions. Vijay has been been able overcome language barriers in Brazil to work collaboratively with a CxM firm, over the last 2 years, to reset their growth, margin & brand and create a step change in their valuation.
Prior to Ingroup, Vijay spent 14 years with Intelenet Global Services in various roles from Director of Strategy and M&A, COO of the group’s UK business, Transformation leader in the UK, Operations leader and Quality leader of the India business. He has been part of the core team that scaled the company from 2K to 50K staff over the time he was there. Having spent over a decade and a half shaping the BPM business, Vijay has built a reputation for his strong work ethic and a people-centric belief system. A keen practitioner of quality systems like lean & six sigma, he is a big proponent of measurements and using data to make decisions.
In the past, Vijay spent about 8 years in financial services with GE Capital and Standard Chartered Bank. Vijay is an alumnus of Indian School of Business and a Cost & Works Accountant by qualification.
